Psychology National Honor Society

Mission: Psi-Chi is a national honor society that developed under the auspices of the American Psychological Association. The membership consists of upper-class undergraduates who meet the criteria below, as well as graduate students and faculty. Once you are elected in Psi-Chi, you are automatically a lifetime member. 
Membership eligibility: To become a member of Psi-Chi, undergraduates must meet ALL of the following criteria: 

1. You must have declared yourself a psychology major in the Department of Psychology. 
2. You must have a 3.0 GPA or better across BOTH your psychology and undergraduate courses. 
3. You must have completed at least three 200-level psychology courses. 
4. You must receive at least a two-thirds affirmative vote of those present the pre-induction meeting. 

If you meet the above criteria, please contact a current officer. Formal induction ceremonies are held in the fall and spring semesters. 

Chapter History: The University of Connecticut became a member of the Psi Chi on October 5, 1983.
