Mission: Alpha Sigma Lambda provides an association for, and recognition of, academically outstanding students in continuing higher education. 

 Membership eligibility: Potential inductees must be matriculating and have a minimum of thirty graded semester hours or the equivalent. Members need to have a minimum GPA of 3.4. 

Chapter History: In 1983, University of Connecticut students were first inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda and 1435 students have been inducted since that year.
