Allied Health Honor Society

Mission: The purpose of the Society shall be the promotion of scholarship, leadership and fellowship, and recognition of high attainments in, and significant contributions to, the allied health professions. 

Chapter History: UConn's chapter of the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health was chartered in 1983 with over 150 members, the chapter inducts its newest members at the School of Allied Health Honors and Awards Ceremony held in the spring of each year. 

Membership eligibility: Undergraduate and Graduate students in the School of Allied Health, as well as faculty and alumni of the school. An honorary membership category also exists.

Undergraduate:
Students in the top tenth of their class who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or better while enrolled in allied health programs.


Graduate:
Completed equivalent of not less than one full academic year of courses while maintaining overall scholarship average of 3.8 or better, as well as leadership and recommendation requirements listed for undergraduates.


Both Undergraduate and Graduate:
Shown capacity for leadership and achievement in chosen field. Recommendation by members and approval by the Dean.
